Consuelo Hanks

Born in Boothbay Harbor, Maine, Consuelo attended schools in England, France and the U.S. She received a Baccalaureate degree from the Lycee Francais de New York and a B.A., Magna Cum Laude, from Wheaton College in Massachusetts.

She has lived in the U.S., Europe and the Orient and started painting while living in Japan. She is mostly a self-taught artist and derives inspiration from many various sources. Undoubtedly her favorites come from cruises along the Maine Coast aboard the family’s Friendship sloop.

She exhibits in many local and national galleries and her work consisting of drawings and watercolors are in collections in the U.S. and in Europe.
